MBBS Abroad Intake 2026 — Dates, Deadlines & When to Apply

The two intakes that matter, how early you should start, and the month-by-month sequence from application to boarding the flight.

Almost every problem in an MBBS-abroad admission is a timing problem. The universities have fixed intakes, the visa has a fixed processing time, and the two do not wait for each other. Working backwards from the intake is how you avoid losing a year.

The two intakes

Universities in Uzbekistan, Russia and Armenia run a February and a September intake. September is the larger one and fills earliest; February suits students who missed September or whose NEET result timing made September tight.

  • September intake — the main one, apply from May to July
  • February intake — the second window, apply from November to December
  • Seats close when they fill, not on a published last date
  • Documents and visa need six to eight weeks after the admission letter

Working backwards from your flight

For a September start: counselling and document check in May, application and admission letter in June, invitation and visa in July, forex and tickets in August, travel late August or early September. Each step depends on the one before it, which is why a two-week delay early on can cost the whole intake.

Start earlier than you think you need to

The single best thing you can do is get your passport made now, before anything else. A missing passport is the most common reason a family misses an intake, and it is entirely avoidable. After that, a free eligibility check tells you which intake is realistic for your NEET year — and if September is genuinely too tight, we will say so rather than take your money and hope.

  • Apply for the passport first, even before you decide the university
  • Get your NEET-year validity confirmed in writing
  • Keep 10th, 12th and NEET originals scanned and ready
  • Budget the first-year instalment before the intake, not during it
